JANICE HOWE GLADSTONE May 5, 1952 - June 9, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice (Howe) Gladstone. Janice was born in Russell, MB, May 5, 1952 to Jack and Marge Howe. Jan was educated in Russell, and left to go to The Pas after she graduated. She worked at the telephone office in The Pas for five years, and then went to Winnipeg to pursue a career in education. Jan took her teachers training at Red River College and University of Manitoba with a dream of teaching at Keewatin Community College in The Pas. This dream came true for her, and she taught there until the time of her death. Jan married Bob Gladstone in 1983 and they have three beautiful children, Crista, Bobby and Amy. Jan devoted her life and time to her children. They were inseparable. Jan had many interests and hobbies including painting, writing poetry, quilting, ceramics, stained glass, playing games and camping. She absolutely loved spending time with her children at the lake where she found peace and tranquility. She loved nature, going for long walks and bike rides. Jan was thankful and cherished every day. She was very talented in all aspects of her life, an inspiration to all who knew her. Jan will be sadly missed by her sisters, Arlene Gillette and Shelley Lesack and their families. She leaves to mourn her husband Bob Gladstone; and their children, Crista, Bobby and Amy. Jan is predeceased by her infant sister Wendy, her mother Marge and her father Jack Howe. There was a special service to commemorate the life of Janice (Howe) Gladstone, in The Pas, MB on Monday, June 14, and as per Jans request, there will be a private family service at the Binscarth Cemetery on June 18. Officiating will be Captains Tony and Debbie Gosse of The Pas, Salvation Army Citadel. Always a teacher... First in knowledge, then in strength. God Bless and keep you in his care We love you Jan, and will miss you. Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Arlene, Shelley and families Bob, Crista, Bobby and Amy Renee and Shelley
